The incumbent Disabilities Officer is Charlie Bindels.

Hey, I’m Charlie, the Disabled Students' Officer, and I'm here to give advice and support to any students with learning difficulties and/or health and mobility issues. These can be long or short term and can include dyslexia, dyspraxia, repetitive strain injury, chronic fatigue, anxiety issues, long-term illnesses, mental health conditions, physical impairment and more. I’ve had experience living and studying in Cambridge with multiple health and mobility conditions and I’m a self-defined as disabled. I can offer advice on getting the support you need, how to talk to tutors and supervisors, applying for Disabled Students’ Allowance, organising exam access arrangements.
Whatever your condition, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with me with questions, suggestions, to meet up for a chat or even just to introduce yourself; whilst there’s no pressure whatsoever to disclose any details, anything you do tell me will be received in complete confidence. You can contact me directly (at disability@admin.cam.ac.uk or csb57@cam.ac.uk) or via the Welfare Officer’s anonymous email service (check the JPC website).
