Cambridge May Balls and June Events are a traditional way for Cambridge colleges to celebrate the end of the academic year. Every year Pembroke hosts around 1,000 students for a nine hour extravaganza filled with music acts like the Futureheads, a huge variety of food and drink, and even swing boats and dodgems on Foundress Lawn! The events are solely organised by a committee of around 15, all members of the college. Roles include organising food and drink, entertainment and music acts, creating the website and many many more. Applications are taken during Michaelmas.
