I would like to introduce you to "The Cambridge Globalist", a publication at the University of Cambridge which consciously attempts to connect with a global network of students in the shared endeavor of discussing international politics, culture and economics.
In our increasingly globalized world, the importance of an international consciousness is ever more apparent. As part of Global21, a network of University publications across 9 different countries, the Cambridge Globalist seeks to connect young people in the exchange of views and ideas. We present an unrivaled opportunity to showcase talent from around the world as each edition features articles from sister magazines who are in turn part of the Global21 network. Similarly, students writing for the magazine will have the chance to see their work published elsewhere on the globe.
We are committed to promoting student journalism - as a voice which has been historically influential, and as a key actor on the contemporary political stage, we want to provide a platform for young opinion in Cambridge. As a publication written, edited and produced solely by students, we want to provide valuable opportunities for young talent to 'have their say' on a global stage, and, in turn, to be heard.
We have opportunities which range in levels of responsibility from re-designing the website, writing hard hitting articles for print, or, if you are just starting out in the world of journalism, we are happy to accept shorter, more immediate and factual articles which can be published on our website. The aim of this is to act as a transitional process for any undergraduate who wishes to take their first steps into the world of print at University. If you would like any more information, feel free to look at our website http://www.theglobalist.co.uk/. All our contact details are available there.
